The Kiwanis Onion Run takes place on a Saturday morning in conjunction with the Vidalia Onion Festival and draws both the young and the young at heart. The race consists of a 5K and 10K onion run and walk and a one-mile fun run and walk. An estimated 1,800 people participate in this annual event. The race begins and ends near downtown Vidalia, and runners are encouraged along the way.
